Over 100 swimmers from more than 15 sport clubs from countries, such as: Iran, Kazacstan, The United Kingdom, Czek Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Belarus, attended this contest.
Our school’s team won a total of 20 medals, such as:
The first position:The gold medal Samuel Ciorap (400 and 800 free style),Romaniuc Ionel, one medal (500 m. Backstroke).)
The second position:Ciorap Naomi five medals (100 craul, 100 backstroke, 200 craul, 200 individual medley and 400 freestyle).Prundaru Petrisor two medals (200 craul and 50 butterfly).Romaniuc Ionel a medal (400 freestyle).Ciorap Samuel a medal (50 breaststroke).Velecico Valentin a medal (800 freestyle).
The third position:Prundaru Petre - two medals (50 backstroke, 100 butterfly). Ciorap Naomi - a medal (50 butterfly). Velecico Valentin - a medal (400 freestyle); Ciorap Samuel - two medals (50 butterfly, 200 individual medley);Hope Romania - a medal - Relay: 4x50 craul). 
The trainers of the pupils that form the Hope team are:teacher Emese Maniu - first trainer; teacher Lidia Tămaş - second trainer.
Written by Cornelia CodreanuTranslated by Ioana Albu</description>         <link>http://ldv.ro/noutati/articol.php?articleID=169</link>         <guid isPermaLink="true">http://ldv.ro/noutati/articol.php?articleID=169</guid>         <category>News</category>         <author> (Emanuel Boboiu (webmaster))</author>         <pubDate>Thu, 23 Sep 2010 08:48:01 GMT</pubDate>      </item>      <item>         <title>The sign language adapted for the tactile sense</title>         <description>The High School for the Visually Impaired cluj-Napoca organized a course for the  appropriation of The sign language adapted for the tactile sense for the multiple sensory  Impaired persons,  between the 2nd and the 9th september 2010.The course was sustained together with the organisation called Sense International, Romania, and also with the help of the Romanian Association for the Deff and Blind Adult persons.The course takes place on two levels: the basic level and the advanced one.This week took place the formation on the basic level of the introductory course on the sign language adapted for the tactile sense and the course addresses to the teachers working with the groups of children having multiple sensory deficiencies (blindness and deffness), the advanced level will be planned to be carried on at the end of october.The trainers are: Ioana Tufar – national trainer and Elena Gherghel – the president of the Romanian Association for the Deff and Blind Adult Persons.The course proposes the following objectives:- The training of the specialists who work with the deff and blind persons in utilizing the sign language adapted for the tactile sense.-  Promoting a better comunication between the teachers who work with these groups of pupils and the multiple sensory Impaired persons.- The beneficiaries of this course are 35 teachers of The Highschool for the Visually Impaired Cluj-Napoca who work with multiple sensory Impaired persons, and also other teachers of the school who want to learn the practice of the sign language.

The project is financed by the European Union,  and it is part of Lifelong Learning Programme and it facilitates the meeting of 30 specialists in the domain of sight deficiencies from seven european partner countries. At the meeting will participate, as a special guest, DR. Nicoleta Molnar, headmaster of the General Direction for Social Assistance and Child Protection Cluj.As a consequence of being a member of ENVITER - European Network for Vision Impairment Training, Education and Research, obtained in 2008, The Highschool for the Visually Impaired Cluj-Napoca is part of a series of European projects.In July 2010, our institution became a partner of the project ICFProViP - International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health for Visually Impaired People, besides other six similar european institutions for the visually impaired persons, from countries such as: Bulgary, France, Germany, Ireland, The Netherlands, as partners, and Denmark, as co-ordinator.The project goes on for two years, from July 2010, till July 2012, and has as a main purpose the establishing of new projects of co-operation in the domain of utilizing and applying  the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health for Visually Impaired People.

At the sixteenth October symposium, is awaited the attendance of retired teachers of our school, together with representatives of local community, Of the Babeş-Bolyai University, the Psicho pedagogy and psychology departments. We also invited representatives of the educational programs for children with disabilities from Romania and from abroad. On October seventeenth teachers will present various research papers on different arias of interest concerning the education of children with disabilities.
